I don't have a green thumb. I'm really trying though.

If you hate it, obviously it's a weed!

In other people's gardens, though, we call it stachys and like it for it's attractive foliage. Maybe you could find a small spot in your heart to like it, too?

You have 'Lamb's Ears', which some people plant, but they'reinvasive, as you've learned.

They can take over rather quickly. I harvested a few clumps from a house being demolished (with owner's permission) and the little box of them I brought back multiplied in size by 4 over the last year. They seeded themselves as well. I'll be thinning them out this year.

The silvery gray foliage adds interesting texture to a flower bed, and looks fabulous planted near white flowers.

I read somewhere that in colonial times people used to use the leaves for lining their shoes. Kind of like an early Dr. Scholl's insoles.

I LOVE lambs' ears... and they are not invasive at all in my area. I wish they would spread....
