Can anyone tell me what this strange flower is? it is growing in my parents
patio. I have searched and have found no info on it. Thank you so much.

Do you have a side view picture that shows the stem and leaves? The flower shape makes me think it is is some type of trumpet vine But need to see more of the plant

The more I look at it the less it looks like a flower

A decoration made out of paper?That thin appendage at the bottom of the 'Flower" is a bit puzzling.

Not morning glory.

It looks like some kind of tropical plant that grows in wet areas. Just can't put my finger on the name.....

There is a powerful group of plant identifiers on Reddit - What's This Plant

There is a bit of a process if you don't have existing accounts, you'd have to create an account on reddit and Imgur first (easy though). imgur: the simple image sharer

You have to load the photo to Imgur.com, and then attach the Imgur photo URL to the reddit question. But once done they can identify almost anything.

Possibly a begonia leaf. Quite a large variety of colors and shapes available in them a glimpse at some examples
