I would really like a dwarf fraser fir or similar tree to have the smell of Christmas trees year round. I just don't want a super tall 6-8 foot tree. Are dwarf fraser firs a thing or is there a similiar tree that would offer the scent throughout the year?

Evergreens/conifers will not survive indoors. Even "indoor Christmas trees" should not be kept inside more than a week or two or will decline and die because they need fresh air and cold for dormancy in winter. There are a few tropical exceptions such as Norfolk island Pine but they don't have that smell. If you want that aroma all year, plant some firs outside and keep a window open.
