That would be, in our case, Five English Walnut Trees (150 years old) and the long branches that extend over our back yard. Trees are in the neighbor's yard. The trees are HUGE and squirrels number in the hundreds! The squirrels Won!

Has anyone mentioned bobcats? We've had a few move into our neighborhood. Greatly reduced the squirrel problem, rabbits waaaay down, too.

That may very well be why I don't have a squirrel problem: I have a garden pond with a small upper basin and a waterfalls where the squirrels and birds can drink. I also have several cats, including a couple who are obsessive hunters, as well as a dog, although the dog is not really much of a hunter.

We're just monkeys without fur.
