My yard that was sodded with bermuda last year when the ground was wet it is very bumpy due to the laying of the sod. I am getting a topping of masonry sand put on it this week to smooth it out some. For the past two or three weeks I have been watering the yard due to no rain and temperatures in the low 100's. I am guessing I will need to water the sand to get it settled in.
Has anyone had this done before and if so do you have any tips? Also what type of fall fertilizer do you recommend? I am in NW Arkansas.

Did you look at the YouTube videos such as this one?
I did watch a few of them. Using an aerator will not work where I live at. It is very rocky. Each time after mowing the lawn I find new rocks that has popped up. The workers did have a piece of equipment that may be like the one used in top dressing. I will find out more tomorrow.
