probably a "jasmine" of some sort possibly Carolina jasmine/gelsemium sempervirens.

pretty plant but don't think it's the one. hypericum flowers generally have a distinctive clump of stamens in the center of the flower and the flowers of the mystery plant don't seem to have them.

You seem to know more about plants than I do, plus I can't find my glasses.

Do you have Google?

Click on the picture until it comes up larger, then right click on it and hit 'search Google for this image'.. since I can't find my glasses you may have better luck at finding it than I did.
