I posed his question in another thread, but haven't gotten any responses....
We have lived here for 6 years. This year, we have brown rings, about 4' across, in several places in the back yard. It is centipede grass.
We routinely use fertilizer and fire ant killer, one time in the spring. I wonder if we have some kind of insect, but the perfect circles have me stumped.
Very likely it is a fungus and the brown zone is the area where the micelia have spread. If it is a perfect circle and mushrooms emerge at the periphery it is called a fairy ring.

I did see an article online about some type of fungus, caused by the right blend of moisture and temperature. Nothing to be done about it, I guess, except hope it clears up in the hot weather.
You might want to try an application of fungicide.
Last year we had a big drought and then about 30 days and 30 nights of torrential rains. I have St. Augustine grass and started getting some brown areas that were surrounded by healthy grass. The guy at Lowes said everyone in our area was having the same problem and to put some fungicide on it. I did, and it worked.
