Today September 30, 2022 the trunk is 12" wide and 46" circumference

3 weeks earlier than last year and pictures don't do justice. They are gigantic.


I think I'm going to take this one down and leave the other one. Man I hate to do that. Just don't wanna pay to keep it pruned or to take down a massive tree in future.


I can just drop this on my own now. Plus its raising the soil at the base and hard to keep up with the lawn underneath. The Oak is sucking the nutrients like crazy

This is part of the fun of living in the same place for a long time. The 2-3ft tall white pine we planted over 20 years ago is now about 50ft tall. The magnolia we planted about 15 years ago is doing well too, around 30ft tall.
