I'm trying to figure out which type of sprinkler set up would be the most effective in watering a narrow lawn areas. I'd like to have a sprinkler set up so that I can easily move around to cover my backyard and side yards to somewhat effortlessly water my lawn.

I connected two spinning sprinklers together. This kinda works but I would need at least one more sprinkler added.

I may get this system instead

You might just try a rainbird-type set to the highest distance, and a very tight angle spray pattern. They are very adjustable and can be set to do long narrow areas like yours.

I have a regular pulse and it sprays all over the place (including me). I'll give the bird one a shot.

And I was thinking sprinkler hose might do the job..

I think the soaker hose is the best option. It is flat about 1.5 inches wide and has holes all over it and waters the length of the hose.

One of the settings for this sprinkler (only $8) works for narrow areas. I use it to water a 4'x15' raised bed.

Shop Yardsmith 900-sq ft Turret Sled Lawn Sprinkler at Lowes.com

Of course, the best way to water a lawn is rain. If your climate doesn't support a lawn, consider something else. You could also add some clover to help with drought resistance.

Good point. My lawn is still nice and green, and I have not watered it since early September 2015.

No wonder I'm seeing little patches of clover in my lawn. Thx for the tip.

lol. Lucky you, My lawn goes from Green to Brown so often that you would think my lawnmower has paint underneath it.

In a drought now but then we'll enter a period of too much rain soon.. watch

Grass was vivid green and lush in May, now brownish all over the area from lack of rain and hot sun. Typical stuff I have witnessed for past 10-15 yrs

Isn't a space like that what the flat hoses with the perforations along the length of them were designed for?
