I took this picture on a recent walk. You can see my black dog. The little brown one is mostly hidden by the flowers.

I have astilbe that resemble that! To the best of my knowledge, it is not a wildflower, though. At least not in my area

The flowers look like astilbe, but the foliage is not correct at all for an astilbe.

Agree, not astilbe. It would never tolerate full sun like that. Possibly a Spiraea tomentosa (steeplebush).
