Mornings are in the low 50's, and heavy due and moist dirt each AM. I've got plenty of spouts, and have been watering. If the weather changes to cooler weather and we start getting consistent rain, looks like I can finally fill in the thin areas.

I don't de-thatch, and there were lots of bare/bad spots in our lawn, thatch covered. 3 weeks ago I re-seeded the bare/bad spots in our small front yard with Kentucky Bluegrass/Fescue, overtop the thatch. Our lawn/grass is now beautiful, bright green, and thick. I didn't irrigate, because we've benefited from some beautiful Fall rains. So happy!

Love bluegrass, but so darn disease prone in Northern VA.

Ouch! Either you've got one heck of a large yard, or you need a new landscaper, and that's coming from D.C., were just going to work costs $9 one way. Are you in NC? If you're not under water, then I wouldn't lose hope just yet. 48 hours after I put down my stuff, it started to rain and didn't stop for 5 days. Thought all was lost. I was wrong!
