I'm not sure what to say about this, Cida. In one way, I'm glad that more research is being done into all of the mental disabilities that seem to be more prevalent in kids recently. I'm also glad that I'm not a chemical engineer. OMG imagine if it is your JOB to make these types of chemicals?

I'm guessing that if it's your job, and you're an ethical person, you work to make them so specific that they pose little threat to humans, and you ensure that any warnings are forthright and prominent.

LOL I'd doubt that. You are probably focused on making sure chemical X does Y. And Y is something the people who own the company come up with. The people who test it to see if causes cancer, or stays in the environment in some horrible form for thousands of years probably work in another department. Just a guess.

Total respect to Chemical Engineers. I couldn't cut it. But they do seem to have the world's sh_ttiest job. CEs and engineers who have to make weapons. Too bad one of these chemical companies don't come up with an idea to fix something. If they put these engineers on a project to get rid of excess CO2, that would be AWESOME.

So many of them are so smart, they would probably come up with lots of workable ideas. It might even be profitable.
