Crazy weather! Mid Atlantic had the warmest February and winter on record with the Spring season 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule.

Daffodils in the neighborhood are in full bloom, lawn is a rich green color needing its first cutting, rose bushes are bursting out, and dogwoods are just days away from flowering....

What's blooming and budding in your area?

Besides the buds and blooms, had to break out the weed killer earlier this week to spot treat a couple miscellaneous broadleaf weeds in the lawn...well ahead of schedule.

Everything here is a month behind the usual. - But temp trying to make up for lost time? went from in the teens, & under 30, to this week in (the 50's !!)
so
Most Flowering plants still breaking ground, tho lower-to-ground bushes are starting leafing, & budding: Roses, & various Berry bushes, plus baby Fruit-trees such as Apple, Fig, & vines like Kiwi.
Of 100+ bulbs I planted last fall, about 70 are just waking up. However only 2 crocuses thus far, as Primroses+Daffodils+Hyacinths+Tulips, etc are just now stretching their arms tho Pansies & Violas are breathtaking in their faithfulness... returning even under snow...
In the meantime,
the Winter-garden starts going to sleep (& done are beautiful decorative Kales that lasted nigh 4 months). Two of 4 Hellebores continue in full bloom, as are the gorgeous-leafed Cyclamen. God is sooo very good in sharing such beauty... perpetually

A few things got zapped a little last night, a tinge on the geraniums, and wisteria, but everything else is fine. We are 2 days past last chance of frost, so I think we are done. Anyway, the azaleas are finished and the day lilies are just getting some buds. The trees are leafing out nicely.
