The rubber ones are by far the best, but they are costly.

Buy the most expensive one offered. There's a 99% chance, that's the best one.

I have a Never Kink HD 100' hose that I have had for about 6 years. No issues so far it is a somewhat hard hose material even after all the years of gentle hanging. I don't use a roller and opt for the hook approach. Allows a longer easier coil, and no it has never kinked but man it's tough.

Not what you asked, but your hoses will last longer if you keep them out of the sun as much as possible and drain them before winter and put them away.

I've given up on cheap hoses, so when I pay a lot of money for a hose, I want it to last as long as possible.

Any hose reel recommendations? Bought a home depot hose reel box (Suncast?), lasted 2 years but it seems like the winter freeze broke the hose connection and it leaks like crazy now.
