recently had some landscape work done and the guy has since disappeared, i'm fairly certain he caused this

only leaks when the system turns on. I don't know anything about compression fittings.

I also have another question, I would like to water a newly built 6'x3'x1' garden bed. The black flexible piping that runs to the right of screen in the above pic, runs underneath the garden bed. Any suggestions?

It appears like the scammer who did my landscape tried to reuse the fittings

If there is enough length, just cut the tubing close to the fitting and replace them. Those fittings are cheap, less than $1 to about $2.
