I have these steps up to my house. Right is planted, left is yard. I put some
Liriope along the edge but hate it, the weeds and grass invade it and its a PITA trying to weed it.

I'd like to find an idea for something to do along this area, no more than a foot wide. I saw something done with broken plates I think would look interesting but only see 1 example of it.

Anyone have any opinions on this idea, or can suggest another?? Rocks could be another option.

There's a product called GlowStones, if the area is in full sun. Basically they small solar stones and will glow at night. They're not cheap for the size package you get, though, so you'd probably have to go with some conventional mulch and maybe some specimen plants with the glow stones sprinkled throughout.
