I have 60'' Hustler Raptor ZTR.
About 4 acres to mow.
My biggest issue was that mower had NO shocks absorption whatsoever, and about half of my mow is VERY rough land. Mole mounds and runs from water running down the wetland section of it - about an acre to mow.
My ZTR can go about 7.5 mph but on the wetland section, especially now, after basically drought we have for 3 months, I could go only about creeping from bump to bump.
I finally installed flex forks yesterday. They are replacement for solid forks, with torsion springs built in. Shock absorber of a sort.
First impression is mixed.
1. They raised unloaded mower front about 1 inch. So I lowered deck about half of that.
2. Upper tier, where I have simply "bumpy" ride, I could actually go full speed. Upper tier is relatively level, just - bumpy. But they do the job.
3. On totally bumpy wetland, not so good. They actually made it worse as when front wheels go up then down into a run, forks compress and deck hits high spot. So I gained nothing.
4. In general, outside of that wetland area, that is now only dry bumps between the water runs, flex forks improved the ride. I'd give them 7 out of ten stars.

Similar to those in this video:

Just much heavier duty for 60'' mower.

Default How fast you can mow

It's not how fast you mow but how well you mow fast.

Well, I am basically running a very well mowing expensive mower way below its capability, if I am going half a mile an hour, if even that. Mower mows just fine. Productivity is down the sewer, if it's creeping on bumps.
It is rated to 3.6 acre in 1 hr. That's at full mowing speed. Took me over 3 hrs to do my 4, creeping in bumpy areas.
