We went to a Thai Buddhist temple this morning for the Thai food court and plant market. I found a Nam Doc Mai mango tree and asked if they had a Thai pepper plant too. There was one left. There is no label and it's not like the ornamental red Thai pepper I'm familiar with. Any ideas? Thanks.

Difficult to distinguish varieties by leaf only. If it didn't/doesn't cost much why not try it out and see what you get? Turn it into a game!

I think it may have leaf wilt from scouring the internet for pics. That can make the leaves curl. Whatever it is, it does have peppers. It may be a red Thai chili, just not the ornamental ones I grew before.
