I would like to find a product to serve as a sort of pathway in a large flower bed. The purpose is to choke out weeds and provide a non-slippery surface to walk on that will make raking leaves easy. It should be durable, one piece (about 3 feet wide x 6 feet long) and must stay in place but not be too expensive. I know that is a lot to ask for short of cement but I was hoping there might be something at the local, chain, hardware store. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have seen this type of walkway but don't know if this is the exact predictor not.

I like the rubber mulch pathways from Plow and Hearth. I only buy them when they're on sale and they have free shipping, or when I can get into the city and use my Master Gardener discount to buy them. They work perfectly to suppress weeds, don't move, look natural, and allow rain to pass through them.

Be aware that many of the possible products can create a wonderful environment for slugs, crickets, or other pests.
