Well, so far nothing is blooming... tulips in my front planter bed have just now, as of yesterday, poking their heads out...my first year in this rental...I'm impatiently waiting to see what comes up and where. Only found two plants so far w/any promise...one is a wild violet from the base of a removed tree and the other is either a Peony or a bleeding heart...not sure yet, can't tell...

All I have blooming so far are the first few Siberian squill. Intense cobalt-blue.

My wild white dogwood in the back has opened up nicely. Drove a few miles north of here today to order some patio furniture. All along the road was a profusion of redbuds and dogwoods; absolutely gorgeous. The dogwoods always remind me of clouds floating in the woods.

Nothing blooming yet. First days above 40s last week-- buds just starting to look alive on trees & bushes.

I went out the other day to plant lettuce, radish & spinach seeds in cold frame. Barn cat Dinky figures I'm built for comfort, not for speed, I guess.

Vinca minor plenty of pretty little blue flowers, creeping low plant deep green leaves. Started as a small garden plant 15 cm many years ago and now covers strip of soil many metres long alongside a brick wall.

Black Cherry Trees on Steroids! No other tree or even same type of tree is this far ahead. What are they feeding these things? Gees.

My container bleeding heart is starting to bloom. Very surprising to see it doing much better in a container, as compared to its sibling that I planted in the ground. I guess bleeding hearts like a confined space?
