and though I do have one container of tomatoes with some yellow leaves at the bottom, I was remarking to myself today, my garden looks healthier than it has in years. Now, I am saying a prayer that the squash doesn't get a visit from the bugs. I don't wish death on anything, but would love to see those ugly creatures find a home in someone else's garden.
I had to pull up the squash there is no hope for it the blooms are rotting and they have it at the end of the fruit had to let it go and I cut off all the lower leaves off the tomatoe plants and also had to prune them the other day to let air flow through . I have ten tomatoes on my early girl already and I pray that they do well . also have a rather large one on my mortgage lifter . they put out 3 lb tomatoe last year and my husband went gah gah over it so I'm praying over all of them .all my flowers look beautiful and are coming up so nicely .
Sorry about your squash...it's been torrential rains here too.
I had to move my tomato containers undercover, as my tomato plants too were getting too many yellow mottled leaves...my seedlings are taking a beating also...

well update again storms rolled through here last night with a vengeance and it broke my early girl plant however I was able to harvest 16 good sized green tomatoes and they are now in a cool ,dark dry place to ripen . 16 tomatoes is an excellent harvest off one plant when there are only two of you but I will definitely share with a friend and a neighbor . I also still have the german pink , goliath and mortgage lifter and the roma . The roma has a slew of tomatoes on it . I will most likely use those for fresh sauce and salads . I know my husband will eat the german pink, goliath and mortgage lifter on sandwiches . I also love tomatoe sandwiches
What a shame you lost that plant, but wow, sixteen!?
yep 16 can you imagine what it would have put off the whole season ? I will plant that one again next year with a cage just in case . I really don't like the cages but with the storms comes a lesson . LOL .
