So, i have a quarter acre lot, and a small vegetable garden as well as some blueberry bushes, raspberry bushes, lots of strawberry from multiplying over the years, fruit trees, and herbs.

And squirrels. Lots of them from the looks of it. I also have seen a small possum, several black snakes, a few rabbits, turtles, and lots of birds.

I recently noticed a lot of my strawberries having been eaten....especially the leaves and stems. thinking it was the rabbits. and i want to avoid having zero crops this year, so i'm wondering what you do to manage squirrel population (since they seem to be the biggest culprits of damage to grass and my veggie/herb garden)

BB gun? relocation (don't think would work)?

ps. i have a nice long/tall fence around my entire yard.

It's not just the squirrelly guys. Everything wants to eat your efforts including the turtle. I would suggest 1" or tighter poultry netting. Looks like crap but you'll have your treats.

turtles love strawberries...they just take one bite and move on to the next one!

Same problem here. Finally put up 2ft rabbit guard (fencing) around garden perimeter. No issues since. Many other remedies were temporary and inadequate.
