Without being there in person, it looks like cow parsnip, which is also poisonous. Here is another ID site, to compare the two.

Foxglove is present in 27 US states (mostly New England/Northeast) and ragwort is also present in multiple US states. Both of them are introduced.

Yews of various species (some native & some introduced) are quite common in the US and different types grow in different climate reasons. The majority of them are toxic to some degree.

I had a book on toxic and poisonous plants; it was pretty interesting. It's a bit disconcerting when you realize how much is out there that is harmful. I do pick wild herbs and such but am very careful and make sure I have positively identified the species before eating it or using it to cook with.

Here in Washington state we have tons of foxglove. And, um, that beastly weed, Scotch Broom.
