I had a beautiful million bells flower. All of a sudden every flower was gone, all at once. My humming bird is very disappointed, and so am I. I do feed it. The leaves are green and not droopy. Is there any hope it will bloom again?

They appear to be very sensitive to overwatering and need to dry out slightly between thorough waterings. Could this be the problem? If so, and if the roots have not rotted, just trim them back a bit and give them a second chance, watching your watering program.

FWIW, for the first time ever my MB look like crap. Not really, lively looking and not at all what they have always been in the past. I am hanging my hat on the excessive heat and lack of rain (until today). I fed them as always and watered (even misted them on the ultra hot days). I also lost tomato and cucumber plants for the first time so, sometimes it is just the luck of the draw. Better luck next year.

As luv4horses said, after a bit of a trim and careful monitoring of their water schedule they should come back. Calibrachoa (million bells) are constant bloomers from spring to very late autumn provided the weather is amenable.

They have become one of my new favourites for a ground cover. They are evergreen perennials with a low spreading habit so I planted some last year directly in the ground in the flower beds to see how well they would do and hopeful that they would survive the winter. They established themselves very well and over-wintered outside just fine and resumed a burst of new growth in April and blooming in early May.

Now by mid July they have grown so fast, branched out every which way and spread across the ground so much they have become like a solid ground cover carpet of beautiful flowers around and in between all the other plants in the beds. I like the short, colourful ground cover effect so much, so a couple of weeks ago I planted a whole bunch more in different colours in some of the other flower beds.
