I’ve been reading a lot about hydroponic gardening and it looks deceptively simple, or complicated depending on how far you want to take it. I am interested in giving it a try but don’t want to put too much initial investment in and not interested in setting up a beer brewing plant-like operation. I don’t want to deal with feeding fish, using fish-poop to feed my plants, and balancing the temperatures, etc. I am thinking a basic tub with air pump and recirculating pump as minimal. What’s your experience?

Also, why is every YouTube video I see on hydroponic takes place in a green house? Why is everyone growing only lettuces? Is there a limitation on hydroponic?

You can get basic kits off of EBay or even Walmart. Link: https://www.ebay.com/p/Hydroponic-Bu...d=273187361893

People are just choosing to grow lettuce. Google best hydroponic vegetables for a list of options.

HB - I tried buying hydroponic organic lettuce at a local farmer's market (the church downtown). It even came with an extra serving of protein - SNAILS. I think I was more entertained by getting "the hydro, man" (best said in a stoner voice). Eventually the vendor gave up...

Haha, but how did the lettuce taste? I mean besides the extra protein. He should charge you extra with the proteins!
