Peaches are not usually subject to fireblight, they have their own problems, however. Peach leaf curl is the most common, and requires a regular winter treatment (spray) program. What you might do is plant peaches where the pears were, and the new pears in a different location.

We had great peaches for the first 20 years we had lived here. Then they died off in the following 10 years and then we had no peach trees for the last 10 years. So, yes, I would like to try that when I replant! Thank you again!
