please help!
I have this plant which i am told is a philodendron. The leaves/stems are so sparse & it’s only ever put out a handful of new leaves (i’ve had it for about 3 years)
Recently the leaves have started yellowing and dying! i’ve lost 4 leaves and another is dying.. (all within a week!) i haven’t changed anything i’ve been doing and don’t see and visible bugs. What do i do! I’m wondering if i should just cut the remaining stems and try propagating?

Have you ever repotted it? If not try that, if you are watering it the same as always then the plant may be root bound in that pot. Generally speaking yellow leaves are over watering, but that is a general statement.

Since you didn’t send a photo, we can only guess.
What I would do is throw it away and get a fresh one. Philodendrons are junk plants.

If you want to try to save it, buy a bigger pot, fresh potting soil, cut off any brown or yellow leaves, and don’t over water it. A systemic bug killer for indoor plants wouldn’t hurt, in case you have a bug issue. But, by the time you do all this, you will have spent more money than just buying a new one.

I actually second this, but it sounded like the OP was really trying to save it. I do agree with you though.

Thank you, i tried to figure out how to attach a photo but couldn’t see an option for it? I did repot it yes. I’d rather save it then just throw it out if I can.

Then cut back on the watering. You can also grab Bonide, to treat it. I bought it recently at Ace for about $7 dollars.

I think there’s a rule against posting photos for new posters.
Good luck with it.
