I have this stuff growing around my house.I have moved most of it so nobody steps on it.I put some around the mail box post the keep the area dogs away from it.But yesterday I have found that they are starting to flower.They have never flowered in the 10 years I have lived here.I'm really pleased to see it.But I did a serach and did't find what I need.I'm in Jacksonville area,zone 9.Thanks

I'll echo that... Prickly Pear.
google it and see what comes up... but i'm 99% sure.

i have friends in Wisc that grow these.

Yep, thats eastern prickly pear cacti (Opuntia humifusa).
