Garden flowers in Alaska (grow, seeds, pictures, year)

What kind of garden flowers do you grow in Alaska? I know that Alaska is enormous and that I'm showing my ignorance by not being more specific about location. Maybe Alaskans can narrow down the territory in their responses.

earlier this year, i was in a huge seed swap and got a lot of seeds from gals in AK ... can't think of most of them off the top of my head [and since i'm out of town at the moment, i can't check my notes] but i know i got a lot of Columbine, some Violas and Poppies.
