Winter has officially announced its presence here today. It's 0 degrees centigrade now at 2:30 in the afternoon (-4 at night) and today it has started snowing at my location. The weather forecast for between now and tomorrow is 7" of snow.
On the bright side, there are only 3 weeks remaining before winter solstice arrives and the daylight hours will start getting longer again. I'm looking forward to that.

Brrrr.... {{{SHIVERS}}}
We are still having crazy weather. We had nothing but rain day and night from Thanksgiving Eve through the weekend. Finally, by Monday, it cleared out and was a gorgeous day---not cold but not hot either. Then, today, had to turn on the AC again. High was around 78. It felt like Summer. By tonight, though, the temperature started to drop. The wind really picked up, and our overnight low is supposed to be 34.
The weather here has been like a yoyo up and down the thermometre. Today, it climbed well into the 50's, and we had a bit of rain. There is a lot of rain in the forecast for next week.
Currently 32F. That's pretty representative of the long term forecast. The 14 day forecast calls for 23F as the coldest night and 36F as the warmest day - a rather narrow range of temperatures for a 14 day period.
Arugula, collards, tatsoi, radish, cilantro, parsley and a few other vegetables are still in good condition.
We have had nothing but rain, humidity, and unseasonably high temps for days. It will continue until at least Tuesday according to the forecast, and then there should be a dramatic change with overnight lows dropping into the 20s. I am sure the trees, shrubs, and wildlife have been enjoying the rain, though.
