I usually use Jiffy-7 peat pellets in 50-cell trays to start seeds indoors but saw an ad in a gardening magazine the other day for something called the Sprout House that instead uses "WonderSoil" pellets. The WonderSoil pellets are made of coir (coconut fiber), some peat, and a water-retaining medium.

Has anyone used the WonderSoil pellets and how would you compare them (good points and bad) to Jiffy-7 peat pellets?

Also wondering if the WonderSoils are the same size as the Jiffy-7s because I'd like to be able to use my existing trays if I do try them out.

Haven't seen them for sale in any stores in my area so I would need to mailorder them (the WonderSoil pellets).

Thanks!
