Hi, I'm new to this page. I have about 1600 sq.ft of manure and would like to use it as an area for vegitable and fruit garden. What can I use to balance the nutrients? Do you have any suggestions?
I have lived most of my life in Vermont and Connecticut. Vermont has way to short a growing season. Ct was slightly better, but my feeling is that you can have horrible soil and improve the soil. In Vt I had sand for soil and the first year or two it was horrible. With compost the soil was perfect. I would think Florida or southern Cal to be the ideal areas to garden. You can grow year round and ammend your soil until it's perfect.
