How long are they good for? My mom gave me a few bags of them a couple of months ago.. I never got around to planting them. They have been in a bag in our basement...Can I use them next year?
As long as they are solid and firm with no visible rot or mold, you can use them this spring. As soon as the ground has thawed, get them in there. Or, you can put them in MOIST peat moss in the fridge and force them indoors. Plant them outside once the foliage has died off this summer.

If you store them dry in the fridge, they won't benefit from it. Be sure to pack them in moist peat moss before storing them. Check them ever so often to make sure there's no mold.
