okay folks listen up once a day water is enough when they are in the 5 gallon buckets . and as you can see they are going to town . I also have more tomatoes than I'm going to possibly use so I will be canning and giving some away to co workers because my neighbors are made of stone and cant lift their arms to wave hello LOL sarcastic there .

Beans and corn planted and potatoes all side dressed and hilled the old fashioned way with my push cultivator and hoe.

Seeing some blooms on my peppers, surprisingly. Warmth hasn't been consistent. Brassicas are all blooming and falling over, haven't cut them down yet since the bees seem to love em.

Felt more like November than May today, temp only reached 14c/57f, and it rained most of the day.


Broad beans


Courgettes sown last week.


Runner beans sown at the weekend.


Fennel


Some kind of lily, looks different to most species I see though, which have much larger leaves.

I thought I have lots of tomato seedlings, it turns out they are cilantro seedlings. I feel better now.

my sweet potato slips seem to have take hold....so I think tht is all I need to worry about. I moved my egyptian spinach out of their way. Gang Busters...expected.

pole beans are yet to emerge. I plante speckled butter beans a few days ago......stand back.

To whoever sent me the comment regarding the above pictures, broad beans are fava beans, and courgettes are zuchinis.

Big garden this year. 1 Tabasco plant in a clay pot. It is covered in peppers. By next year the vinegar will be cured for mustard greens and field peas.
