Here in Northern VA, the trees are just starting to green up and are maybe 50% filled with leaves. I follow things like this and I think they are a week later than normal this year. Much of it is due to a rainy cold April.
How about in your town? If the trees loose their leaves in the fall, what week in the spring do they fill with leaves in that beautiful fresh yellow green color? Has it happened yet in your home town?
Down here a bit further south in Va Beach most trees leafed out 3 weeks to a month ago or so. Most dogwoods have been in bloom for the last 2-3 weeks as well.
I noticed the first leaves about a month ago. Now, everything is just finishing opening. The last to finish will be the oaks. The maples are done. The dogwoods have more leaves than flowers.
We start greening up in March and typically, by late April, all trees have leaves and most all are full by May 1st, but the cooler April weather seem to have them a little behind schedule this year here in northeast Tennessee. Thankfully not frosts/freezes though since the trees have sprouted. Some of the later trees are starting to sprout, while the earlier trees are well underway. I would say that 80% of trees have leaves now, some are full. The Ash trees are normally late coming out, as are the Walnuts. Maples, Willows, fruit trees, etc are the early ones. With highs forecasted to be in the low to mid 80s this weekend, the rest will explode with foliage.

Here is 2008 in comparison (April 19, 2008) - seems to be right on target...
Here is 2005.... they were well ahead in 2005 compared to this year. We have two large Beech trees (as seen off to the left of this photo) in the front yard that have already leafed out well here in 2005... this year they have only started to bud out....

Hardly any leaves on Long Island (NY) yet... lots of buds though (just barely on the oaks, though) and some flowering trees in bloom. Can't wait for "real" Spring
The trees are starting to bud now with the prennials making a great display. Highs are forecasted to be around 80F over the weekend so some trees might begin to leaf out. I am in central NH.
Our maples have just started to bud, our oak hasn't started yet and neither has our Golden Raintree but it is usually a late bloomer. Our weeping cherry is in full flower with the leaves starting to follow suit and our weeping crabapple as started to leaf out.
We have lot of large willows along the drainage creek behind the houses across the street that have been at it for awhile now.
Here in Denver they're starting to green up right now. I have two ornamental plumb trees that are about 80% green and near flowering (they turn purple in May)
Oaks, maples, and sweetgums have been leafed out for a month here already.
Pecan trees are always one of the last ones to get leaves..

The trees here in Louisville look about the same as Tennesseestorm's picture. In another 2 weeks all the trees will probably be fully leafed out.
