Default Dryland rice in small garden plot?

Does anyone have experience, or know of others, who have successfully grown dryland rice within small plots, like a garden-sized plot?

Any info is much appreciated.

Well considering that you get about a spoonful of rice grains per plant stalk, a small plot might only produce enough rice for a couple of dinners.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes. Sounds wacky and interesting.

Yeah, by my calculations, a 2x8 foot bed could produce as much as a pound of rice! Woo hoo!! But that is for a single planting; if I can do two or three plantings per year, we are talking about, you know, 3 pounds of rice!!

But, if the experiment is successful, then I might scale up a bit more. Consider this a trial planting.
