Hi all,

I need some advice. Here are my problems:

1. My front yard has a lot of mold growing on it. Also the grass isn't lush and thick, there's some dead grass, though there is some grass

2. Both yards need to be fertilized, but both could use some reseeding overall.

So what should I do first: fertilize or seed? And how much space between seedings/fertilizings. And how soon after I kill the moss should I fertilize the lawn. Any ideas?

Why is there mold growing in your grass/yard? It sounds like there's no sun reaching that area. You may have to thin some trees or branches before you can think about good grass growth.

If you have moss growing, you need to add lime to the soil.

mamamuller, do you have pics of the mold so we can see what you're dealing with? Hard to envision what you're calling mold in the grass.
