I can live with them in my garden as long as I know they won't hurt me.

I've had 2 down there, the 1st one was a 12 inch baby, no problem getting him into a container & putting him back in the woods. I tried to do the same for this large guy but couldn't catch him with the rubbermade container.

Funny how I'm the only one that actually sees them. I went outside to get a pot one day, moved the pots and one was under them. My hubby works out there all the time and has yet to see one.
Good for you! I commend you for facing your fear!

Hmm, I've noticed husbands also miss things like sinks full of dirty dishes, so maybe it's just the same thing! LOL!

For the OP - if your snake is a brown snake they're pretty harmless. I had one as a "pet" for a kid. Used to remove it from the terrarium to let it go for a walk in the potted african violets. It was pretty nice, and didn't try to bite me (which gardener snakes are more prone to). They're insect eaters, so having one in your garden will probably not be a bad thing.

Snakes (as long as they 're not poisonous) don't bother me at all. Fortunately, we don't have many poisonous species in my current area.

I know I have to. Snakes will be a part of my life here since our house sits on the woods.

Dishes are actually the one thing he notices.. lol
I kid, he's pretty good for a husband, helps a lot.

Maybe it's his bad eye sight? lol

I hate snakes. They totally freak me out.
I can handle anything.. mice, various insects.. snakes.. no.
Yeah, that's where I'm at. Don't know why. My gardens are only perrenials, but if I saw a snake while weeding, I may have to hire a gardener.
