This is a small (15 ' flowering tree) that I saw but couldnt identify this May while I was in Japan. I am looking thru a catalogue from the local nursery and they list it. When I looked it up on line I found that it is native to Japan....but has been hybredized and introduced as a landscape tree.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this tree? I believe it tolerates shade or half sun locations....and that is what I am lookiing for.
