I need help with landscaping ideas for my house in Upstate SC. Its on 3/4 of an acre and we've had the house almost a year, but have not had time to do anything with the backyard except to finally get some grass to grow. Thankfully, my business travel will finally stop at the end of the year and I'll actually have time to work on my house.

I have zero creativity when it comes to landscaping and gardening, so I would appreciate any ideas as well as links to websites with good landscaping pictures.

Below are 2 pictures of the backyard. The first picture was taken right after the house was built from the very back of the property looking towards the house. At that time we didn't even have the back deck built and had no grass.

The second picture is recent and was taken from the back deck. After a very muddy winter, we now have some grass!

looks like a very nice , large and fairly expensive house,. Why not compliment it with a professional lansscape plan and installation? If you are not a gardener or have very little experience you may make some very expensive mistakes.

What did you do about the front? Look in magazines, books for ideas and any professional landscape designer or architect can help incorporate your ideas and favorte trees or plants. Are you planning a pool? Do this now before you put in landscaping cause all that machinery will ruin anything you have planted.

Lightbulb Landscaping Ideas

Those are some nice pics there and are we the only ones hoping you may have an update available or are you still looking for good landscaping ideas?

Either way, you have plenty of land to work with there and plenty of room for improvement.

What is exciting is you can actually improve the overall value of your entire home/property by as much as 15% or more on average by just implementing some good value-building landscaping ideas.
