I thought this might be a neat area to showcase pics of your garden areas.

This is an area I helped to create for my parents. My parent's yard has to be the worse I have ever seen in terms of hard clay. It is very difficult to grow anything. I planted about 75 daffodil bulbs a few years back and only a few (like 7) came up and then of those none actually bloomed! Anyway, my Dad hauled in topsoil and we built up this bed pretty good. In addition where every plant was dug quite a bit of hard clay was dug out and replaced with topsoil so at least the new plants roots wouldnt be sitting in water. I think we planted about 55 plants that day although some of them ended up in a neighboring bed. Also, in the middle we planted cannas, iris and callas so I am hoping it will look nice this summer once they come up. Also, my Dad is getting rid of the red bricks and will replace with the nice bordering ones.

Most of the flowers are newly planted, so they're not that big yet

And no garden is complete without some gnomes sleeping it off

We have only been in our house for about a year so the only 'garden' picture I have is of one of our ponds. It was so dry last year that not much bloomed in our yard. Hopefully this summer we will get a little more color.

This is one this past winter of our front garden taken from a second story window, not much to see yet.

Heres a picture of our townhouse garden (total area to work with was about 15'x20'). Not the best pic, but the only one I can find on this computer

I was noticing your hostas. I really love those. This year mine are coming out so quickly. In a matter of hours I can go back and see how much they have grown.
