All of the online guides on how to "Build your own firepit" say to use a construction adhesive for masonry. However, I was warned that these adhesives weren't meant to be used on surfaces that became so hot. Is there a construction adhesive that's safe to use on a firepit?

What are you making the firepit out of?

EDIT:

Just saw your other post about pavers. If you are making a fire pit from concrete pavers, you can use construction adhesive to put the caps on top, but you shouldn't need any adhesive anywhere else.
