I am doing a lab for Environmental Science and was instructed to find and run all these measurements on a plant of my choice. Problem is, I picked one that I can't find a name for! I have two pictures (links below) of the actual flower and one of it's leaves. It is orange, five petaled (poppies have four petals), and has yellow stamens. Please help!

Definitely a mallow - not sure about the variety though; the leaves shown in the OP are different than in smartygurl's post...
