Hello,

I will like to know what do you place around a swingset to prevent damage from mowing and edging? I am concern that when I edge or mow that I will damaged the wood at the bottom of the set. Is there something that I can buy at Home Depot or Lowes to place around the bottom of the swingset to prevent the lawnmower from destroying the wood?

Sorry, I didn't know where else to post this question.

Thanks in advance!

Not really meaning this to sound mean but the only way I know of you're going to cause any real damage to the wood A frame of a swing set would be to weed eat with a chain saw. lol What I did with ours was, when pouring the concrete to anchor the legs of the swingset, make the hole a bit bigger than the post. Then weeds won't grow around the posts and you can get most of the grass around it with the mower.

I simply use round up in large enough area to get my riding lawnmower in and out of the area around the swing set. For a while we mowed and then edged but it finally dawned on me how much extrea work I was making for myself. As far as it looking bad, remember once your kids really get into swinging, there will be dirt patches under the swings and bars if you have one.
