My Compost Turned into Brown Liquid with Worms HELP

Take the bottom out of your bucket and put it into the ground. When you add your kitchen waste also add an equal amount of shredded leaves or shredded newspaper(no glossy or real colorful pages). If you want it to turn into compost faster mix it up occasionally.

Burying is a good idea too, but it wouldn't hurt a thing to flush it. Not any worse than that other rotten stuff we flush! LOL

I would have done the same thing.
Kitchen scraps (and what you used) are to be layered with some green, like grass clippings, leaves, small twigs, etc. My compost gets a pretty good fermenting odor and there are plenty of worms....never saw any maggots in mine.
