Regretably pictures and stories of my grandparents were not very important to me when growing up. Kevin, a cousin, made a connection with me and soon I will have pictures of my grandparents. I check the email daily and am anxious to see them as they were young. My parents had a second wind and both my sister and myself were born about 10 years from the next older brother. My ex was always taking pictures and posting them in an album leaving her with a legacy to pass on to our children and Grandchildren. I guess its true: "Little things can mean alot."

Or in some cases they get destroyed in fire or floodwater disasters.

Just make notes of those you're unsure about somehow. Some people put asterisks next to the names or put the names in caps of those individuals which are not confirmed.

True, and another two reasons to make copies and keep them in a separate place, other relatives' houses or a safe deposit box.

These days it's so affordable and easy to make copies and distribute them around the family. That increases the chance of survival for all the images.
