Grover Cleveland

John and John Quincy Adams

and Franklin Pierce.

Just Ulysses S. Grant on my mom's side, I really don't know much of anything about my dad's side.

My grandmother had a cousin named Clara Cleveland who was supposedly distantly related to Grover Cleveland. If true, the OP and I are also related!

Well, the question didn't ask for actual ancestors - he could have been a sibling of one of txtoal's ancestors. According to wikipedia, Buchanan had 10 siblings who I imagine all or mostly all had children and many descendants who are alive today and would be related to Buchanan even if not directly descended from him.

*shrug* Through the out-laws.

Several generations back, the sibling of one of my direct ancestors was a progenitor of the line that produced Zachary Taylor and James Madison.

OK, thanks - good answers. I should have realized that being in the same family tree and being a direct descendant are not necessarily the same thing. D'Oh!

James Buchanan. (allegedly)

My dear old ma has been doing her family tree for years now. anyway, our Buchanan side of my mums family first settled in county Armagh during the plantations settlement, thereafter some family members moved into County Tyrone. it's stated that (by my mother ) that her Great, great great grandfathers brother was the father of James Buchanan whom Emigrated in the late 1700's

Related to the Bush family and also Lyndon Johnson - supposedly through the same family line - Amer Via who came here from France in the 1600's.
