R1b is very exotic, they came from modern day russia recently (2500-3000 years) and destroyed all European culture. Those Russians did not bring tanks, but horses and iron.

If you are R1b, no matter the clade, you are exotic.

I read about the destruction of the Tartessian civilization by Rib, inhabitants closed and blocked all their temples and left...that's why they left something to archeologists.

Their irruption was comparable to the discovery of America.

The only real Europeans were Neanderthals, they lived in Europe 300.000 years.

Homo Sapiens came thrue Palestina and Asia Minor, originally from South Africa but sometimes ending in Europe after walking during centuries though Asia.

There's no such thing as 100% British, as the island were barren and uninhabited 10.000 years ago.

If you are talking about North- and South-America, you will find many who are not.
In Europe, Yes. The majority is. White, that is.

10,000 years ago, the UK was connected to Europe.

Check out this tidbit from Peter Underhill on what the autosomal says about human evolution.

Quote:
No matter how well resolved the splits in the Y chromosome or mtDNA tree, both remain single-locus trees and are thus subject to large stochastic errors for certain parameters’ estimations, including the overall tree depth. Low levels of genetic diversity of mtDNA and Y chromosome show coalescent dates of 100,000–200,000 years (45, 53, 70, 80, 108). These dates have often been implicated in favor of a speciation bottleneck coinciding with the time approximately when anatomically modern humans start showing up in the fossil record (122). Sequence data from the autosomal compartment of the genome have failed to support such an hourglass model and instead continue to provide evidence for a long-lasting low effective population size over the Pleistocene, or the long-neck model (30, 34, 40). Although mtDNA and Y chromosome cannot be considered informative with regards to the speciation event of modern humans, they continue to be the most well resolved genetic loci for the study of population histories since the out-of-Africa migration.
Use of Y Chromosome and Mitochondrial DNA Population Structure in Tracing Human Migrations

Its just like the strong man of physical anthropology C. Loring Brace and Alexander Humbolt (who was a student of Blumenbach and an inspiration for Darwin) its very probable that the Hominid species braodly emerged in Africa because as Darwin notes the primates there are related closer to modern humans than elsewhere but THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN SAYING THAT IS ALSO WHERE HOMO SAPIENS SPECIFICALLY AND SOLELY EMERGED. Brace had the foresight to acknowledge its better to wait for info to emerge from other tropical and subtropical/warm temperate areas and with Dmansi in Georgia of the Caucasus it looks like he was again ahead of the curve.

Humbolt was likewise well ahead of his times (Cosmos: a sketch of a physical description of the universe, pg. 365)

Not only do y & mtdna NOT correspond to any kind of 'oid but they are not even diagnostic of being "anatomically modern", as ill-defined as that is.

Sarah Tishkoff is along the same lines.

It is worth noting that our test does not have a lot of power to address the related and more general question of how modern humans evolved from archaic humans in Africa and about the role of population structure in that process. In this light it is useful to recall that for neutral variants, the expected age of a variant is correlated with the effective population size and the allele frequency (Kimura and Ohta 1973). Assuming an effective population size of 10,000 and a generation time of 20 years, the average age of a SNP with an allele frequency of 20% is approximately 322 thousand years, far older than the origin of modern humans. Therefore, we all harbor a large amount of variation that arose before the origin of modern humans, and a substantial fraction of this arose before the origin of Neanderthals.

More about gradations.

Quote:
In several populations, individuals had partial membership in multiple clusters, with similar membership coefficients for most individuals. These populations might reflect continuous gradations in allele frequencies across regions or admixture of neighboring groups.

Because most alleles are widespread, genetic differences among human populations derive mainly from gradations in allele frequencies rather than from distinctive “diagnostic” genotypes. Indeed, it was only in the accumulation of small allele-frequency differences across many loci that population structure was identified.
Genetic Structure of Human Populations

Quote:
Our results show that when individuals are sampled homogeneously from around the globe, the pattern seen is one of gradients of allele frequencies that extend over the entire world, rather than discrete clusters. Therefore, there is no reason to assume that major genetic discontinuities exist between different continents or “races.”

We find that if sampling is based on individuals and geography rather than on “populations,” gradual variation and isolation by distance on a worldwide scale are better representations of global genetic diversity than are discontinuities among continents or “races”.

In this regard, it is worth noting that the colonization history of the United States has resulted in a “sampling” of the human population made up largely of people from western Europe, western Africa, and Southeast Asia. Thus, studies in which individuals from Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia are used (e.g., Jorde et al. 1997) might be an adequate description of the major components of the U.S. population (e.g., see Kayser et al. 2003). However, it would be incorrect to conclude that such studies necessarily generalize to subdivisions of the human gene pool on a worldwide scale.

Here's a concept that will blow your mind to smithereens: there is no such thing as "race", period.

Unfortunately, as we have seen with the popping of the post-racial utopian bubble, race is definitely real, at least as a political concept, & not just stateside, but in terms of global gubbermint.

Race is very real, as a social concept. Not as a biological one.

An Irishman and Italian are genetically different, but the tendency is to call the difference ethnic, and not racial. An Irishman and a Kenyan are different genetically, but most people refer to the difference as racial.

The problem is that biologists have not been able to apply these differences in any logical sense that makes race scientific. There is no higher level subdivision of humanity that makes sense. So when people ask you if Arabs, Jews, or Iranians are white or Asian, there is a social answer acceptable to some groups, but no biological answer.

Although people were aware that different people from other places looked radically different since the dawn of travel, the so called "culture of race" was developed in the late 18th century in Northern Europe. The idea of "color coding" the races started at that time as well (white, black, yellow, brown and red).
