I got some high school records from 1938, on the record it says st. vincent depaul is the one who submitted the student, do you think the student was living in a boys home named st vincent de paul? Second question, can I see if the address was indeed a boys home from that era?
Hi
Thank you suzq, it was in philadelphia pa. I would love to send an email and let you see this registration it says admitted by: St vincent de paul above the st. vincent typed in it says Source. I am confused. Wonder if this person was in a boys home I cant imagine being able to afford a catholic school back then. Thanks again

Catholic schools (elementary)were free to parishioners in most places until the 70's.
I seen the 1940 census, it doesnt tell me anything about the st vincent depaul connection to high school records. How do I find old city directories?
Our main public library has tons of them. Maybe your biggest one does too
