Hmm, I think more her high cheek bones and eyes, but yes, the nose as well.

I'm not sure of either one. However both do, at least to me and I am certainly no expert, look more African than African American. They are both very pretty women. The second one caught my attention because she looks exactly like one of the lead characters in the novel I am writing - precisely how I pictured her in my mind's eye. The woman in my book is from Ghana, so I cannot wait to find out if the second woman actually is from Ghana. If she's an actress by chance, maybe she can play the part if my book ever becomes a movie. Silly dreaming, I know.

I had described my character in the book to look so much like the second woman, so very beautiful - the epitome of beauty in fact, with a kind heart - at least the character in my book. It's kind of weird to see her come to life in that photo.

I forgot to add that I have the character's father hailing from Northern East Africa and her mother being from Ghana. So I am so curious if she is that mix or not?

Why didn't you choose to write about a black woman who looks more West African? Why are the black women with a straight nose and euro fetures always seen as beautiful?

the 2nd is model Senait Gidey - she is from Toronto, but it reads like her heritage goes back to Ethiopia (although I did see Somali as well, but it seems more credible sources are saying Ethiopian)

the 1st is just some random girl - although I did see her in a different forum in a post that featured the same exact photo as the 2nd

just for fun, another of Ms. Gidey

Dude she looks textbook Ethiopian and not like women from Ghana at all. And the first girl def. looks African American to me but she could be either. And just for the record, I think the first girl is very attractive.

Senait is a Ethiopian name. Mainly from people fron the north. Amhara. Ethiopians are a mixed group. Lots of different african and even some european as in Italian and Viking. The vikings suposably traded for steel and you find some blue eyed light hair people there.
